Hi
Folks,
This
is it, folks, P-Day! So close you can reach out and touch
it with a small branch or medium-sized broom handle. So buy those balloons,
pick up that box of fireworks, get that game of Twister out of the cupboard
and tell your friends and neighbours that the Peckerwood party is about
to commence.
Peckerwood
Hits Birmingham
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
November 24th 2007. Mark it in your calendar, folks, because this is P-Day,
the day our unsuspecting fans (all two of them) get their grubby
paws on our latest graphic novel, Peckerwood: 24 Minutes. The
convention launch will be at the Memorabilia
show, at the Birmingham NEC. So be there... or don't!
But really, be there.
Unless your local comic shop is the Comic
Guru in Cardiff, you won't see Peckerwood: 24 Minutes in stores until
mid-2008. So if you want to experience this mega-dosage of comedy goodness
any time soon, come along to Birmingham in November, or the London
National Comic Mart on Dec 2nd. Next year, we have a busy convention
schedule, including New York in April and San Diego in July. Check our
website for details of where we're going to be.
"24
Minutes" Initial Feedback
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some cunning individuals have already read the book. WTF! They must have
broken into our homes and stolen the original files. Here's some things
they said:
"Just as you thought it was safe to go back to the comic shop, Rob
and Pete kick you in the happy sack with their comedy size ten's and their
latest baby Peckerwood. Irreverent, well thought out and laugh-out-loud
funny, it's annoyingly good - meaning that I have to kill them now."
Tony Lee, www.tonylee.co.uk
"Stylish, nice looking, well written and above all, very funny."
Glenn Carter, www.comicsvillage.com
"Tozzer comes of age - a tour de force!"
Regie Rigby, www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com
"The funniest 24 Minutes of my life!"
Manolis Vamvounis, www.comicsnexus.com
"Grossly inappropriate. You will love every panel"
Craig Reade, www.stillontheshelf.com
"A viciously funny, unrelenting parody... the next stage in the evolution
of Dunlop and Lumby as comic creators"
Chad Boudreau, www.comicreaders.com
Thanks for the feedback guys, even if you did commit numerous crimes in
appropriating your unreleased copies of Peckerwood. The quote from Glenn
Carter is from a full review, which will be posted on the Comics
Village website when it launches on 19th November.

We
mentioned the Comic
Guru above, who is our online retail partner. He sells most of our
stuff, so if you're after a Tozzer or Peckerwood book, or maybe a T-shirt,
check out the Guru's most excellent site.
Since we launched the Tozzer 2 graphic novel a couple of years
ago, we've had a lot of people asking where they can get a limited edition
copy of the book, with its rather snazzy variant cover. We printed just
200 copies of this title, which are all signed and numbered, and our allocation
sold out almost immediately. There's only one place in the world now where
you can find this rare item - guess where? The Guru's shop, of course.
There's 51 copies left right now, the last 51 copies in the world!
For those collectors out there, the Guru also has a few of the Tozzer
2 single issues left. He's only got 2 copies of the first episode,
so if you want one, you'd better be quick!

More
news soon, so stay tuned and for Gawd's sake, spread the Tozzer word.
We need more suckers to subscribe to this newsletter. Did we say suckers?
We meant discerning cultural observers. And for a limited time only, all
subscribers to this free newsletter get a... FREE NEWSLETTER! Woo, bargain.
If you want to talk about this newsletter, or anything else which takes
your fancy, then head on over to the bustling metropolis that is our forum.
We check it pretty much every day, which is kind of like Jodie Foster
checking radio waves for alien transmissions in the movie Contact,
but hey, at least the aliens came through in the end.
We'll be posting more on the forum, updating Tozzer.com
and sending more newsletters now that Peckerwood is imminent - and we
actually have something to shout about!
Can you feel the excitement?! Come on, TRY, dammit!
Till
the next time...
